Students who will be in 9th-12th grade for the 2013-14 school year are invited to join the library's summer reading book club! We will be focusing on a few titles from the Kennett High School reading list and engaging with them in creative and fun ways, including projects, journaling, and lively weekly discussion. KHS students who participate in the book club may be exempted from the Summer Reading Book Test in the fall! BTML's 2013 Summer Reading Challenge for Adults
The concept of summer reading is usually associated with children and teenaged students, but why should the kids get to have all the fun?  To demonstrate its commitment to promoting life-long literacy -- and to reward patrons for doing what they already do! -- Bayard Taylor Memorial Library has organized a Summer Reading Challenge for our adult readers.  The Challenge is simple: Read one book from each of ten categories over the course of this summer season.  For each category you check off your list, you will receive one raffle ticket which you can enter into the running for one of several prizes.  To register for the Challenge or for more details, please inquire at the Front Desk.  The Challenge begins June 1, 2013!
